The Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev" - Plovdiv (AMDFA / АМТИИ) is an accredited state higher education institution in Bulgaria offering bachelor, master and doctoral programmes in music, dance and fine arts. Founded in 1964 as a branch of the Bulgarian State Conservatory, it became an independent institution in 1972. It is one of four arts universities in Bulgaria and the only one outside the capital Sofia. The Academy has three faculties — Music Pedagogy, Musical Folklore and Choreography, and Fine Arts — and operates across seven buildings in the historic centre of Plovdiv. Since October 2022, it has been an official partner of the EU New European Bauhaus initiative.
