Overview
The Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana is the largest and only music conservatoire in Slovenia, officially established in 1939 with roots dating back to the Ljubljana Philharmonic Academy of 1701. Located in the heart of Ljubljana, the academy offers comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programs in musical arts and music pedagogy. It boasts a low student-to-faculty ratio of three-to-one, ensuring highly individualized artistic training. The academy is intrinsically linked to Slovenia's cultural life, organizing over 150 concerts locally and internationally each year. Through its symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles, and choirs, it maintains active collaborations with top Slovenian orchestras and international institutions.
