Advance Aviation Training (Fiji) Ltd was founded by Wayne and Deborah Hinton in 2002. Initially offering aviation theory classes from two units at the Tanoa Skylodge Hotel, it expanded into practical flight training in 2003 with a Cessna 172RG. The school's about page describes two locations at Nadi International Airport. Theory instruction takes place in classrooms in the AAT Main Building and AAT Hangar, combining lectures and computer-based training with personal instructor tuition. The published Private Pilot Licence course includes theory and a minimum of 40 flying hours. The Commercial Pilot Licence course includes theory and a minimum of 150 flying hours, leading on successful completion to a Fijian Commercial Pilot Licence with a Command Instrument Rating and multi-engine aircraft Type Rating. The Fiji Airline Transport Pilot Licence course is theory-only.
