Overview
BI Norwegian Business School is an independent, not-for-profit foundation and the main provider of research-based knowledge on business and management disciplines in Norway. Founded in 1943, BI is one of Europe's largest business schools with campuses in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, and Stavanger. It is the first Norwegian business school to achieve Triple Crown accreditation, holding EQUIS (reaccredited 2026, 5-year period), AACSB (since 2014), and AMBA (since 2013) accreditations — a distinction held by less than 1% of business schools worldwide. BI also holds EFMD EOCCS accreditation (since 2016). BI has 20,092 students (14,835 full-time, 5,257 part-time) representing 119 nationalities. The Oslo campus alone hosts more than 14,000 students. BI is ranked #1 business school in Norway and Top 50 European Business School by the Financial Times (2025).
