Overview
Christian Leaders' Training College (CLTC) is an interdenominational Bible college established in 1964, with its first students entering in February 1965. Its main residential campus is in the Waghi Valley, 8 km west of Banz. The college subsequently established centres in Lae in 1984 and Port Moresby in 1986.
CLTC prepares Christian leaders for churches and communities in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific. Training integrates biblical and theological scholarship, discipleship, ministry and interpersonal skills. Its offerings include certificate studies, advanced diplomas, bachelor's and master's study, with practical training in ministry and community transformation. Community transformation training draws on the college's agricultural expertise and 400-acre farm.
Theological Education by Extension offers courses in English and Tok Pisin to learners remaining in their homes and ministry settings. The Certificate of Bible and Ministry, provided for spouses of CLTC students unable to enter diploma or degree programs, is taught mainly in Tok Pisin.
