Overview

City of Glasgow College is Scotland's largest technical and professional skills college, formed in 2010 from the merger of three specialist colleges: Central College, Glasgow Metropolitan College, and the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. The college's mission is to 'Let Learning Flourish', providing career-focused education to over 30,000 students each year across two award-winning city-centre campuses. Its City Campus is located at 190 Cathedral Street and its Riverside Campus at 21 Thistle Street, both in Glasgow. The college offers courses from Access level through to BA (Hons) degree level, including HNCs, HNDs, SVQs, and professional qualifications, in subjects ranging from Creative Industries, Engineering and Nautical Studies to Business, Health and Social Care, and Culinary Arts. It has one of the largest international student populations in Scottish further education, welcoming students from across the world, and holds partnerships with 120 overseas organisations across 39 countries. Recognised accolades include the Queen's Anniversary Prize, EFQM 7 Diamond rating, and a Gold Award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. Up to 8,000 graduates leave the college each year ready for the world of work.
