Overview
Established in 1999 under the authority of the Minister of National Education, the Gdańsk Higher School of Humanities (GWSH) became a prominent non-public academic center in the Pomeranian region. Initially located at Biskupia Górka, it later moved its headquarters to ul. Kopernika. The university was granted the right to confer Master's degrees in 2002 and historically operated three faculties: European Studies, Pedagogy, and Political Studies, though it later consolidated into the Faculty of Social Sciences. Despite its growth to over 4,500 students in the mid-2000s, the school entered a state of liquidation in recent years. Its academic focus remained on practical and theoretical training in administration, management, and pedagogy.
