George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș (UMFST G.E. Palade) is a leading public university in Romania with nearly eight decades of academic tradition. It enrolls approximately 13,000 students across seven faculties: Medicine, Faculty of International Medical Studies, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering and Information Technology, Sciences and Letters 'Petru Maior', and Economics and Law. The university offers programmes in Romanian, Hungarian, English and French, and hosts over 1,400 international students from more than 80 countries. It opened a branch campus in Hamburg, Germany in 2019 and an extension in Bistrița in 2022.
