Overview
Malta Business School (MBS) evolved from adult training programmes initiated by founder and Dean Lorenzo Mulè Stagno in 2005 under Allied Consultants Ltd. The following year, the company achieved school recognition status. In 2007, MBS was awarded exclusive representation of Henley Business School (UK) in Malta and launched its first Henley Executive MBA intake in 2008 — the only triple-accredited MBA in Malta (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB). The school officially launched as Malta Business School in 2012, moving to larger premises in Birkirkara with dedicated classroom facilities. In 2014, MBS became a recognised ATHE centre. In 2018, MBS was the first business school in Malta to pass all quality standards in the MFHEA's first External Quality Audit. In January 2024, MBS became a Higher Education Partner of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK, enabling BBM students to graduate with dual qualifications. In 2025, MBS became an ATHE Guaranteed Progression Partner and achieved High Performing Status with ATHE. MBS is licensed by the MFHEA as a Higher Education Institution (Licence number: 2006-TC-005) and delivers courses from MQF/EQF Level 5 to Level 7.
