Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts

Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts is one of the UK's leading drama schools, located at 120 Peckham Hill Street, London SE15 5JT. Established in 1946, it operates as a registered charity (No. 274166) and is registered with the Office for Students (OfS). Academic degrees are validated by the University of East Anglia (UEA), a partnership in place since 1997. Mountview is accredited by CDMT (Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre) and is a member of the Alliance of Musical Theatre Conservatoires (AMTC). The school offers Certificate of Higher Education, Foundation Degrees, Undergraduate BA/BMus degrees, and Postgraduate MA/MFA programmes across performance (acting and musical theatre), production arts (stage management and technical production), directing, producing, dramatic writing, and music direction. Its purpose-built Peckham campus features over 20 studios, two professional theatre spaces (The Mack, 182-seat proscenium arch, and The Backstage Theatre, a flexible black-box), TV studios, a library, and a common room. Student accommodation is available at the nearby Bernard Myers House (managed by Capitol Students). Mountview welcomes international students from over 60 countries and holds a Tier 4/Student Route visa sponsor licence. The school awards a range of scholarships annually based on talent, potential and financial need.
