Overview
Raindance Film School is a London-based accredited independent film school founded in 1992 by Elliot Grove. Rooted in the ethos that independent filmmaking belongs to everyone, Raindance offers practical, industry-focused education across filmmaking, screenwriting, acting, animation, digital arts, creative business, and production design. Programmes range from short intensive courses to HND (accredited by Pearson), BA (Hons) (validated by De Montfort University), and MA degrees. The school is approved by the Office for Students and is a UKVI-approved Student Sponsor. It is connected to the Raindance Film Festival — a BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festival — and the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA). In 2026, the school reduced its fees to £6,350, moving to a larger North West London campus at Windermere House, Kendal Avenue, London W3 0XA. Student Finance England is available for eligible UK students on degree-level programmes.
