Overview
The Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary (UBTS) was founded in 2000 in Boryslav, Ukraine, to provide systematic theological education for the Evangelical-Baptist movement. In 2012, the seminary moved its operations to Lviv to better serve its growing student body. Under the leadership of President Yaroslav Pyzh, the institution has expanded its academic offerings to include pastoral ministry, church planting, and international missions. UBTS emphasizes practical theology, mentoring, and coaching as core components of its educational model. The seminary maintains strong international partnerships, including collaborations with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in the United States. Today, it serves over 1,300 students from across Ukraine and provides ongoing training for the Ukrainian diaspora.
