University of Insubria

University of Insubria (Università degli Studi dell'Insubria) is a public research university established on 14 July 1998. Its legal seat is in Varese, with additional campuses in Como and Busto Arsizio, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The university comprises 8 departments, employs over 400 faculty members and 380 administrative staff, and serves more than 12,000 students. Its academic offer includes 24 bachelor's degree programs, 16 master's degree programs, 3 single-cycle master's degrees (one with a double degree), over 20 specialization schools, 8 PhD programs, and approximately 10 postgraduate masters per year. Several programs are taught in English, supporting international student mobility. The university has over 150 international mobility agreements and awards over 150 international mobility scholarships annually. It is registered in EQAR (DEQARINST1475) and subject to Italian national accreditation under ANVUR. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, the university placed in the 701-800 band globally and 17th among Italian universities. Graduate employment rates stand at 90.5% within one year and 96.3% within five years of graduation.
