Università di Catania

Università di Catania (Unict), founded in 1434, is one of the oldest public universities in Italy, located in Catania, Sicily. It offers 112 degree programmes plus two replica courses, spanning bachelor's (laurea triennale), single-cycle master's (laurea magistrale a ciclo unico), and two-year master's (laurea magistrale biennale) levels, as well as postgraduate programmes including PhD programmes, specialisation schools, university master's degrees (1st and 2nd level), and continuing education courses. The university is organised into 18 departments and special teaching structures, with additional campuses in Siracusa and Ragusa. Unict is part of the EUNICE European University Alliance and actively participates in Erasmus+ mobility. Scholarships for international students are available through ERSU and the Italian Government, as well as university scholarships for English-taught Master's programmes. On-campus housing is provided through ERSU, with 930 beds in university halls of residence. The main campus is situated in central Catania.
