Overview

Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi (UniMarconi), established in Rome in 2004, is Italy's first and leading telematic (online) university, recognized and accredited by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). Operating as a private non-profit institution, it has pioneered digital higher education in Italy, continuously investing in e-learning infrastructure and technology to deliver flexible, high-quality academic programs.

The university is organized into three departments: Scienze Economico-Aziendali, Giuridiche e Politiche; Scienze Umane; and Scienze Ingegneristiche. It offers three-year bachelor's degrees (lauree triennali), five-year single-cycle degrees, two-year master's degrees (lauree magistrali), first- and second-level university master's programs, doctoral research programs, and specialized teacher training courses.

All degree programs are delivered online through the MyUnimarconi platform; students may sit examinations at numerous regional examination centers across Italy. Standard annual tuition for degree programs is €2,760 (€230/month), with various reductions available for military personnel, public administration employees, young students, athletes, and others.

UniMarconi has an active international strategy with over 50 academic cooperation agreements across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and is a participant in the Erasmus+ programme. In the CWUR 2026 global ranking, it was placed among the top 2,000 universities worldwide out of over 21,000 evaluated.
