Overview
York College & University Centre, located in York, North Yorkshire, is a major provider of further and higher education in the region. Formed in 1999 from the merger of York Sixth Form College and York College of Further and Higher Education, its roots trace back to the York Mechanics' Institute founded in 1827. The college operates from a modern campus rebuilt in 2007 and serves over 7,000 students annually.
